Overview

Partiful is a tool that makes invitation creation intuitive, cool, and easy. It has grown rapidly in popularity these last few years and is now the first choice for young people (18-35) over dominant names in the space (Evite, Eventbrite, etc).

I myself am an avid Partiful enthusiast and have spent a lot of time thinking about my experience using the product.

I've run into difficulty hosting large events on Partiful and finding event inspiration – so I envisioned two features—Partiful Pro and Partiful Inspo—to make it easier. Both are focused on driving adoption and revenue.

Background

The first event I ever hosted was an “around the world”-themed goodbye party for family friends and 100 guests.

I was in 6th grade—and hooked on event planning. Years later, I read the Art of Gathering by Priya Parker and have approached gathering like a science ever since.

When I arrived at Stanford, I quickly realized how broken entrepreneurship events were — the intention to connect was dominated by fireside chats and stale mixers.

A friend and I set out to change that by designing and creating a series of non-traditional, cheeky gatherings designed to foster authentic connection by lowering the barrier to conversation between founders and builders in the Bay Area. And we chose to use Partiful every step of the way.

It was simple and enveloped our brand perfectly — doesn’t take itself too seriously + playful.
